			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m pretty bummed. I didn&#8217;t lose any weight despite following the diet exactly. I did have to eat meals close together, but I got all my calories in (might be shy by 30 or so) and all the water. I feel like the weight should be coming off 1-2 pounds daily like week one and week 2.  At this rate, I&#8217;m not sure I&#8217;m going to get the 40 pound loss in my first six weeks!</p>
<h3>Regrouping.</h3>
<p>There&#8217;s really nothing else to do. So after I saw the number on the scale, I decided to just make sure and stay steady, and keep at it. I know that the program works, but I really felt that my &#8220;cheating&#8221; and stalling were behind me. Today I took the advice of another participant, and used raw apple cider vinegar mixed with a little pepper and sweetener to make a salad dressing. This is supposed to help with flavor and also be a fat burning agent of some sort. It was better than I expected and I&#8217;ll use it again. Salad with no dressing sucks.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>
<p>Holding at 19 pounds. *sigh*</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After last week&#8217;s &#8220;incidents&#8221; I wasn&#8217;t sure how things would shake out. As it turns out, I didn&#8217;t gain really, but I did seriously stall. Things should get back on track this week. I hope so, since I&#8217;m on week 4, and really really want to get to 40 pounds for all six weeks.  I feel pretty good and like I&#8217;m in a groove I guess.  My schedule has been a bit unpredictable so I can&#8217;t follow routine meal times.  I try to do lunch around noon, and dinner at six or so. It doesn&#8217;t always work that way. Yesterday, lunch was around 1 and dinner was at 10 pm. Definitely too late.</p>
<h3>So I mixed it up today.</h3>
<p>I had lunch about noon and dinner at 4.  Too close really, but I think it&#8217;s better than at 10.  (Due to a strange work schedule, eating at 6 or 7 wasn&#8217;t possible).  I don&#8217;t eat breakfast since I&#8217;m not hungry in the mornings. In fact, I&#8217;m not really that hungry at any time but I know I need to get my calories in each day.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>
<p>19 pounds.  (down 1 from yesterday &#8211; yay!)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Official 3 week weigh in morning.  And measurement time too.  I&#8217;ve mentioned in other posts that I&#8217;ve noticed I&#8217;m losing inches based on the way clothes fit.  Today I re-measured and recorded them to compare against the day one measurements.  It&#8217;s nice to see the difference and have more than just the scale as a way to see the changes.</p>
<h3>So here&#8217;s the scoop.</h3>
<p>15.25 inches in 3 weeks!  I&#8217;m pretty happy to see those results.  Big losers were waist and hips which makes sense since that&#8217;s where I store most of my fat.  But other notables were neck, 3/4 of an inch and biceps 1/4 of an inch.  Those areas weren&#8217;t as big of course, but it&#8217;s nice to see that I&#8217;m losing all over.</p>
<h3>Others have commented.</h3>
<p>Some folks that I see regularly are aware that I&#8217;m on the plan.  Today, someone who hadn&#8217;t seen me in about a week, commented that she can tell I&#8217;m losing &#8211; so that&#8217;s nice.  It&#8217;s a little hard to see it when you see yourself daily.  I&#8217;m going to take a trip to Ohio at the end of week 5 and will see people who haven&#8217;t seen me since November so that will be interesting to see if they notice or say anything.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m down 1.5 pounds today so a new total finally. I&#8217;m back to my chicken breast with fresh veggies for lunch and dinner today. I am pretty anxious about tomorrows weigh in. Monday is the official 3 week mark and I&#8217;d really like to be down another 1.5 pounds to reach 20 total for the first half of this round. I&#8217;m not sure if I&#8217;ll make it or not. I&#8217;ve been told that when you cheat &#8211; it affects your ability to burn fat and lose weight for up to 3 days. I&#8217;ll have to see how things shake out.</p>
<h3>Measuring results.</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m completely irrational about the scale now. I weigh myself several times during the day to see how I&#8217;m doing. I know in my head this isn&#8217;t helpful, but for some reason, I like seeing how much I can gain/lose during the course of the day. Fortunately, I now can tell I&#8217;m losing in other ways. I mentioned this before, in my<a href="http://phyllisnichols.wordpress.com/2011/02/05/day-11-a-first/" target="_blank"> fat pants post.</a>  As part of tracking, measurements and pictures were taken on day one. I am going to re-measure tomorrow (3 week results) but I can tell I&#8217;m losing inches. Definitely losing at my waist and hips. But it&#8217;s the other things that I can see as well. Shoes are loose &#8211; who ever heard of losing weight in your feet? Rings and my watch are loose &#8211; another odd place. I could wear a shirt yesterday that had been too tight to fit comfortably. So back fat &#8211; bye-bye!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Short post today. I&#8217;m doing the fruit day (completely) this time and going to just move past my bad week. I let lots of outside factors interfere with my choices and feel like I&#8217;ll do better from here forward. This is mentally hard at times. I don&#8217;t feel hungry &#8211; even with just apples, but mentally I&#8217;d love to have lots of old favorites. Spaghetti, potato chips, cashews and cheese all come to mind. I keep reminding myself that those foods will be available for me when I&#8217;m done with this process. And being a healthy weight and feeling good about myself will make having those choices even better.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>
<p>17 pounds &#8211; only gained one with my binge yesterday.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today started with such good intentions. I lost the pound I gained so I felt good about that. I talked with the support team and asked if I should do a fruit day. This is used when you&#8217;ve plateaued and need to jumpstart to lose again. They agreed after being at the same weight for 5 days a fruit day would be a good idea.</p>
<h3>Here&#8217;s how it goes.</h3>
<p>You can eat only fruit. Your choices are cantaloupe, watermelon or apples (peeled). I had apples so that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m going to eat all day. So far, so good. I have a peeled apple in the morning, then again about noon. I felt a bit hungry so had another one about 2 and planned to have another one at 5ish, 7ish and 8ish.  Six total are recommended. Now, this isn&#8217;t as hard as it sounds because hunger and appetite are in check because of the HCG.</p>
<h3>Then we went out.</h3>
<p>My husband travels alot for work. This week (like many others) he left Monday morning and returned this afternoon.  We both like to go out and sit where we can chat and catch up and it&#8217;s a nice way for him to decompress after a long week, and a long drive home. During week one, I cheated and had 2 beers with no apparent problem. Well, not this week. Not only did I have 2 beers, I had 3 and then 2 pieces of pizza!</p>
<h3>Can you say disaster?</h3>
<p>I weighed myself before going to bed in a total panic. I was 10 pounds heavier than this morning. I&#8217;m freaking out at this point, but I know that lots of it is water weight. I completely regret both the eating and the drinking and I&#8217;m depressed and totally upset with myself for not sticking to the plan.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>
<p>18 pounds (again).</p>

<h3>Back on track.</h3>
<p>I feel like I&#8217;m back on track tho. I&#8217;ve got my meals planned and good options and I&#8217;m not hungry so eating right shouldn&#8217;t be an issue. I hope to see a drop again tomorrow.  My plan for 6 pounds this week was a little unrealistic I guess. Still, I&#8217;d like to get to 20 pounds at the end of week 3 &#8211; the halfway point. </p>

<h3>I feel like crap.</h3>
<p>Now on top of not losing I feel crappy and guilty for cheating.  Which means I&#8217;ll probably gain now vs. losing.  UGH.  I know better. It&#8217;s obvious I turn to food when I&#8217;m down and depressed &#8211; all of which happened today. Double whammy!</p>
<h3>There is some good news.</h3>
<p>I talked to the support person today.  They indicated that my plateau wasn&#8217;t anything to worry about. (FYI, we spoke before I had the crackers) and that your body takes time to adjust to rapid loss like I&#8217;ve experienced during the first 2 weeks.  That makes sense to me. One of the many benefits of weight loss with HCG is no saggy extra skin that often comes with other types of rapid weight loss methods. So it does seem appropriate that I&#8217;m going to plateau for a few days. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Week 3, that&#8217;s the half way point.  I&#8217;m pretty happy to 18 pounds lighter and hope to see another 6 pounds this week.  I&#8217;m a little frustrated that my weight was the same this morning.  I loved seeing the 1-2 pound loss every day.  I know I&#8217;m ahead of schedule&#8230; 12 pounds week one is pretty dramatic and not typical.  I&#8217;m told that 5-8 is considered very good, so there may be a bit of a plateau for a day or two.</p>
<h3>Mixing up my food.</h3>
<p>In an effort to get some variety, I&#8217;m going to make one of the recipes in the packet.  A beef (very lean) chili which is something I like so that will be a change this week.   It&#8217;s time to take a break from the daily double chicken breast menus I&#8217;ve been eating.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> I&#8217;m starting to love Monday&#8217;s.  On this program, it&#8217;s my official weigh in day where I track week to week weight loss.  Also, it&#8217;s injections and B12 day which makes me feel good.  It&#8217;s probably psychological, but i swear I have more energy.  So, two weeks in and 4 to go (this round) and I&#8217;m feeling good about the routine and cycle that this program kind of forces.  Regular meals.  Planning does take some effort but now that I have the hang of it, it&#8217;s really made things easier.</p>
<h3>I felt a little hungry.</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m only mentioning it because I&#8217;ve mentioned before that I have no hunger or appetite and could easily just skip a meal.  But today, I was a bit hungry.  Not eat anything, throw it all out the window hungry, but I definitely needed my lunch.  And that worked. I wasn&#8217;t craving anything in particular, so my healthy meal of chicken and brocoli was just great.</p>
<h3>Results so far.</h3>
<p>2 more pounds today, for a total of 18 for the first two weeks!  I&#8217;m pretty happy with that.  I was hoping for 20 pounds, but I know I&#8217;m above the median average weight loss for women so more than 6 pounds this week was probably too big a stretch!</p>
